Genesis


History of the College


Smt. Rajkamal Baburao Tidke Mahavidyalaya, Mouda was established in the year 1990 with continuous efforts of an eminent personality in co-operative sector Shri Baburao Madhavrao Tidke, the founder of Shriram Gram Vikas Shikshn Sanstha, Nagpur. It is a grant-in-aid college, affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University,Nagpur and has got the permanent affiliation in 2005 from the same university. It was recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12(B) in 2006 of the UGC Act 1956. It is the first degree college offering higher secondary and degree courses such as B.A., B. Com. at Mouda Taluka level. It basically caters to the needs of those students who belong to economically and socially backward classes from rural area with little educational background. Since its establishment, this college has been providing educational facilities to both boys and girls students in Mouda area and its neighbouring villages. This college is run by Shriram Gram Vikas Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur. It is a well stabled and alone education society in MoudaTaluka. The college is situated in Mouda town. The town is situated at the bank of Kanhan river. It is a place of pilgrimage. It is known as sitting and meditation place of Shri Chakradhar Swami. The pilgrims from all over the country visit the place throughout the year. A big fair is organised on the occasion of Vasant Panchami. Moreover, the town has historical background of the great Maratha kings of Bhosala. Mouda is an industrial developing area. The industries of Reliance, Venkateshwara Power Project (Sugar Factory), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and other industries are the core of this area.
